Allafrica recently published an Op-Ed which captures the work of the IWMI led Groundwater Solutions Initiative for Policy and Practice (GRIPP). The piece is written by Callist Tindimugaya, Hydrogeologist and Commissioner for Water Resources Planning and Regulation in the Ministry of Water and Environment (Uganda).  It was published during the Africa Water Week (AWW) held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on July 18 – 22, 2016, to create more awareness about the sustainable use of groundwater to develop agriculture in Africa.
