Palal worked at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) for almost 3 years. She implemented various research trails and demonstration plots with a research team; analyzed research data and helped with the preparation of research papers; conducted farmer field schools, farmer training, and training of trainers in integrated crop management; managed seed multiplying in the Department of Agricultural Research (DAR) and distributed seeds to farmers; and submitted monthly reports and developed the action plans.
