Nilanthi worked as a chemical engineer in the cooperate sector of Sri Lanka for more than 5 years, essentially in the field of water and wastewater treatment, where she was involved in the implementation of water and wastewater treatment projects at different scales. In her role, she was leading projects of installation and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants.
