Nafn’s background is in water resources engineering and management. She has worked in government agencies and the private sector as a senior water systems modeler, and designer on major infrastructure projects in countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Syria. This includes the design and modeling of water transmission and distribution networks, irrigation and treated sewerage effluent systems, urban drainage, green infrastructure, and wastewater networks. Prior to this, she has also worked as a field engineer on hydrological monitoring instrumentation such as Class A pan, soil water sensors, gauges, and weather stations.
