Gerald engaged in teaching and research consultancy at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. His area of teaching focused on the transcendence of physical and human geography. His research specialized on issues related to social and ecological interactions. Gerald worked on numerous projects, including the 3rd DREAM-CGC funded by FUTURE EARTH; SESASA project funded by the European Union through Leap Agri; and the ARAP of two World Bank-funded projects, which he co-developed for the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal of Ghana. Working under research projects, he offered his expertise assessing the different dimensions of social-ecological systems’ sustainability.
