Deepa has worked as a Research Scientist in the Department of Climate Change at the Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI) in Bangalore, India. She reported on proceedings at the Institute of Directors (IOD’s) 24th International Conference on Environment Management and Climate Change in Lalith Ashok, Bangalore. She has also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Georg-August Universit in Gottingen, Germany. She previously worked on the projects “Economic Valuation of the Ecosystem services in the Himalayan Forests”and “Developing Evidence Based Sustainable Development Indicators: A Study on Sustainable Tourism in Kodagu District” as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC).
