In celebration of United Nations International Youth Day, the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and BongoHive hosted a Demonstration Day in partnership with the Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research in Africa (AICCRA) Zambia project. The event showcased innovative solutions developed by young startups participating in the Internship and Innovation Grant (I2G) challenge.

The I2G challenge aimed to foster climate-smart agriculture (CSA) and climate information services (CIS) by supporting young entrepreneurs, facilitating innovation development, and providing incubation opportunities. Ten groups were selected from 72 applications, with three standout groups receiving additional support for their innovative ideas. The solutions were presented at the Demonstration Day, providing a platform for engagement and recognition. The IWMI’s involvement signifies its commitment to empowering youth in addressing climate challenges and driving sustainable agricultural innovation.
