IWMI researchers suggest how in a Devex opinion article
In an opinion article for Devex, a media platform targeting the global development community, two researchers with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) address the national tragedy of arsenic poisoning from groundwater in Bangladesh. They call for more effective measures to tackle the problem, based on a comprehensive and critical analysis of ongoing efforts. At the current rate of progress, the researchers note, it will take more than 100 years to reach all of the most vulnerable communities. Clearly, the 20 million or more people exposed to harmful levels of the chemical element should not have to wait that long for a solution.
