Before IWMI
Kanwal has worked with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) as a Gender Officer. Kanwal was involved in gender mainstreaming and inclusion in all climate change adaptation initiatives. Kanwal developed a social code of conduct for Pakistan\'s brick sector to regulate the industry in a gender-inclusive manner.
