The United Nations water conference started this week. Rachael McDonnell spoke to Scientific America. The conference will produce a ‘water action agenda’. But this will involve “voluntary commitments”, said McDonnell. “There’s nothing binding, there is no equivalent to the Paris [climate] agreement.”
