Before IWMI
Syed completed his PhD in Geology with a specialization in Groundwater Hydrology from the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) and Osmania University, Hyderabad jointly in 2019. He has also worked as Raman-Charpak Fellow at French Geological Survey, in Montpellier, France under a bilateral India-France program to complete part of his PhD thesis. Before IWMI, he was working as Consultant Hydrogeologist at Arcadis for UK environment project.
