Overview:

Anukulan-BRACED is a project led by iDE in partnership with a consortium of international and Nepali development and research organizations. The overall project aims at Improving the well being of poor people - especially women and children - despite exposure to climate related shocks and stresses. IWMI's role is to lead the overall research component, focusing on three issues: how does women's empowerment affect project performance? What are the relationships between empowerment and resilience to climatic shocks and extremes and what are the barriers and opportunities to institutionalise multiple-use water systems (MUS) as a climate smart system in Nepal.
