
The Water & Security Nexus in North Africa-Enhancing Drought Monitoring to Support Management and Resilience-building under Current and Future Climate Extremes - Phase 2
The purpose of this assignment is to contribute to enriching and strengthening technical and management capabilities of the countries of North Africa in one of their most critical areas – water scarcity and the growing impacts of climate change. It also seeks to better understand security in an interdependent world, building a stronger understanding of cross-border, cross-sector security issues (food, water, environmental, migratory, demographic, etc.) in North Africa, and their impacts on human mobility, through engagement of youth experts and decision makers. The grantee organization will support the CMI team to implement the project and will focus on Component 1 The task of this assignment will consist of developing monitoring capabilities and shared experiences in managing droughts in Tunisia and regionally in North Africa.
