Support the implementation of standardised Water Accounting system at country level

The GCP /RNE/009/SWE (Implementing the 2030 Agenda for water efficiency/productivity and water sustainability in NENA countries) and the TCP/RAB/3602 (Support to the regional collaborative Platform of the Water Scarcity Initiative to increase water productivity) are two projects designed to be implemented complementary in 8 countries (Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia).These two projects are in close synergy with other active projects in Egypt implemented by FAO ? Global Project (i.e. WaPOR project-RS for Water Productivity) and National Project (in particular : EU-STAR, FAO- TCP New Lands, FAO-TCP RAB Food Loss and Waste).The Water accounting is a key output of all these projects, and the activities of this LOA aim to develop it, institutionalise it and operationalize it in the target countries, however this project only foucs on three countries ( Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon). The project will produce, achieve or deliver the following outputs: ? Output 1: A technical support on water accounting to facilitate the establishment to country-level of standardized water accounting system & WA roadmaps implementation; ? Output 2: Water auditing methodology refined, piloted in 1 country, and introduced in NENA region through three workshops; ? Output 3: Contribution to Master regional training on Water Accounting/Auditing combining distance learning, and tailored training implemented and based on a capacity gap assessment;
