Understanding water system risks in fragile and conflict-affected communities is crucial for developing anticipatory action and peace.

In 2023 and 2024, the International Water Management Institute under the CGIAR Initiative on Fragility, Conflict, and Migration conducted research in Adamawa State, Nigeria in collaboration with the World Food Programme with funding support from Norad.

The aim of the research was to generate knowledge that shows the implications of the vulnerabilities of the water systems on food and nutrition, livelihoods, sanitation and health in fragile and conflict affected communities of Adamawa State in Nigeria.
