IWMI congratulates Dr Yasir Mohamed on his appointment as Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, the Republic of Sudan. We are proud to note Dr Yasir’s former position with IWMI as a Senior Researcher in our East Africa and Nile Basin office from 2006 to 2009. We now look forward to supporting Sudan’s future water sector development during this important transition phase.
