Hydro4U – “Hydropower For You: Sustainable small-scale hydropower in Central Asia” is a Horizon 2020 project funded by the European Commission that aims to demonstrate at two demo plants eco-friendly hydropower solutions targeting unexploited small-scale hydropower potential in Central Asia. These solutions will be fit-for-purpose based on innovation and modularization, meaning a radically simplified structural concept, while including a sustainable and transboundary Water-Food-Energy-Climate Nexus.

We would like to invite you to the public Hydro4U kick-off meeting.

The event will take in an online format on Wednesday, 30 June 2021, at 12:00 – 14:00 (CEST).

Representatives of the European Union and of the Central Asian countries will open the conference with introductory statements on the existing collaboration framework between the EU and Central Asia, which will be followed by a presentation of the Hydro4U project objectives and its planned activities. In a round-table dedicated to “Hydropower in Central Asia”, invited stakeholders will discuss the opportunities and challenges for future engagements.

Please find enclosed the agenda of the event and a project fiche, which provides an overview of the Hydro4U project.

Please register online to attend no later than 27 June 2021. On 28 June 2021, you will receive an email with the meeting login data.
