Water-Smart Agriculture in East Africa

Produced in collaboration with the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE), this sourcebook focuses on themes of gender, governance, livestock, and ecosystems to promote water-smart agriculture in East Africa. It details how to best implement integrated water resource management at the community level by building resilience, sustaining landscapes, managing water, conserving soils, and addressing learning and complexity. The articles in this sourcebook have been produced through a writeshop process which brought together national scientists, development workers and academics to document their own experiences.
