Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice

The CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land & Ecosystem (WLE), led by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), has produced  a large range of publications since its inauguration. These include various series, including Towards sustainable intensification: Insights and solutions, and the peer-reviewed Resource Recovery and Reuse (RRR) publication series. The RRR series publishes about four volumes per year, and like other WLE series, is self-funded and not charging any fees to its authors. All volumes (including the archive) are freely available for download on the websites of the copyright holder (WLE and IWMI). A limited number of (not-for-sale) hard copies can be obtained for free from IWMI.

IWMI and WLE acknowledges the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) recommended Code of Conduct and is committed to meeting and upholding high standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process of any of its publications without tolerance for misconduct by the editors, peer-reviewers, and authors.

The Editorial Board of the RRR series is comprised of Dr. Miriam Otoo (IWMI, Sri Lanka), Dr. Mary Njenga (ICRAF, Kenya), Dr. Olufunke O. Cofie (IWMI, Ghana), Dr Pay Drechsel (IWMI, Sri Lanka), and Dr. Josiane Nikiema (IWMI, Ghana). The Editor-in-Chief (Pay Drechsel, IWMI) has full authority over the editorial content of the journal, peer-review, decisions on publication, and the timing of the publication.
