Community management of common pool land resources and conservation of biodiversity at landscape scales

This activity consists of Bioversity's research through 3 projects:

  • International Treaty: Strengthening community resilience in two Reserves of the Biosphere of Cuba through the efficient use of genetic resources of corn and beans. This project is due to start in 2020 pending signature of the Terms of Reference from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investments of Cuba.
  • Italian Agency for Development Cooperation: Improving Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Change in the East of Cuba. This project is due to start in 2020 pending signature of the Terms of Reference from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investments of Cuba
  • National Science Foundation of China (NSFC): Ecological mechanisms of species diversity in maintaining the stability of yields and soil fertility in rice-farming systems
