Sarah Freed

Sarah Freed is a WorldFish Post-Doctoral Fellow working in Resilient Small-scale Fisheries. Her work seeks to improve human and ecosystem wellbeing mainly through agroecosystem and fisheries management. Currently, Freed is synthesizing local, national, and regional studies on fish and rice in South and Southeast Asia to understand the challenges, opportunities, and trajectories of these sectors during food systems transformations. Her research interests include sustainable food systems, agroecosystems, small scale fisheries, environmental commons, governance and equity, and conservation and development.
