Dr Rachel Melnick

Dr. Melnick is an agricultural scientist with experience in management of competitive federally funded research programs and science policy with expertise in climate smart agriculture, plant pathology, and biopesticide/biofertilizer development. 

She is Senior Scientific Progam Manager at ILSI Research Foundation. She served as the National Program Leader for Agroclimatology and Production Scienceand AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, United States Department of Agriculture from 2012-2019. She is the Editor in Chief at  Biological Control  since 2018. She was formerly Associate Editor, Plant Pathology in the Biological Control and Research Plant Pathologist, Postdoctoral at USDA-ARS.

She possesses a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Penn State University (2010), an M.S. in Plant Pathology from Penn State University (2006) and B.S. in Biology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (2003).
