The Global Landscapes Forum in Lima, Peru will gather 1500 cross-sector participants to discuss the landscape approach and how it can inform the UN’s new Sustainable Development Goals and the Framework Convention on Climate Change. The landscape approach recognizes that agriculture, cities, forests, rivers and other ecosystems are all interconnected. It seeks integrative policy to ensure equity across sectors and sustainable management to ensure a future of healthy and abundant natural resources.

WLE and CIAT will be a main implementing partner at the event and hold a number of activities.

The forum also offers a unique youth session for individuals (18-30 years old) involved in forestry, agriculture, fisheries, mountains and other landscapes. The session will include a series of roundtable discussions and opportunities for individuals to pitch ideas to a group of experts (AKA the dragon’s den.) For more information, visit the youth forum website.
