It is true green revolution has led to increase production on the one hand but on the other there has been advese impact resulted degradation of land and social impac especially in the areas where most of the people are depended on land..Besides for development of water resources and increasing use of fertilizer and pesticide and use of limited high yielding crop varites,long term sustainability aspect has been compromised .Though in the short run is providing handsome return.So there should be goal for sustained agriculture which will take into consideration climatic,edaphic,social factors as well as time tested indigenous practices to develop package of practices for sustained agriculture rather than conversion of uniform system of industrial agriculture.
