Dr. Sanchez worked for GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) as an Advisor for Transboundary Wetland Management in the Nile Basin until 09/2022. Previously, he worked with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) for 10+ years on projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in International Water Law from the University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom and an M.Sc in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg in Germany.
