Before IWMI

Charity worked at the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-STEPRI), Ghana. She led social science research under the Africa Research in Sustainable Intensification for the Next Generation (Africa RISING) project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). She also conducted research under the Netherlands Foreign Ministry (NWO-WOTRO)-funded Inclusive Development on Agricultural Partnerships project, implemented by Wageningen University, Netherlands. She worked closely with, and supervised the research activities of, many junior social scientists and students. Charity has authored and co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and newspaper articles, which have been disseminated widely at national and international conferences.
