The series tells the stories of individuals, organizations and communities that are driving transformative change by measuring the impact of climate change on human health, mitigating climate change to protect human health, and adapting our environments and ways of working to create resilient systems that can withstand the effects of the climate emergency. Among the stories is Sri Lanka’s tank cascade system which is a feat of engineering that has sustained communities and wildlife for thousands of years. Unpredictable rainfall and drought are now threatening its ability to provide a consistent supply of clean, safe water.
