IWMI signs MOU with the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydro-power Research

The initial priority areas of research cooperation include issues related to water savings, multiple uses of water infrastructure, ecosystems services, water and soil conservation, water allocation and planning and sustainable hydro-power.

Beijing, 19 May. IWMI Director General Jeremy Bird signed a  memorandum of understanding with the President of the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, Kuang Shangfu, for a collaborative program which will focus primarily on research into the planning, management and institutional aspects of water resources and hydropower developments.
