From 18-20 March 2002 second SIMA Stakeholders' Consultation was held at IITA Headquarters in Ibadan, Nigeria. One of the important outcomes of this workshop is a list of regionally important research questions - now available in English and French. |

This workshop was attended by 38 participants from the following institutional categories :
- CGIAR Centers (IITA, IWMI, WARDA);
- other international centers and institutions of advanced research (Johns Hopkins University, KCCR);
- donor representatives (USAID);
- health and agricultural professionals from seven countries from West and Central Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria).

A special press release about SIMA was disseminated at the occiasion of the Stakeholder Consultation in Ibadan.

One of the major outcomes of the workshop was an total of 9 concept notes, which are currently under review. Later these will be added to the portfolio of SIMA Concept Notes. |
