The Central India Initiative (CInI) is a collaborative research proposal by the IWMI-Tata India Water Policy Research Program, India; Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN), New Delhi and N M Sadguru Water and Development Foundation (SADGURU), Dahod.

The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is a non-profit scientific research organization focusing on the sustainable use of water and land resources in agriculture and on the water needs of developing countries. Its head office is in Colombo and India office is in Hyderabad. The IWMI-Tata Program, a collaborative enterprise between IWMI and Sir Ratan Tata Trust is operated from IWMI’s field office in Anand and generates practical policy research in support of effective management of land and water resources for food, livelihoods and nature.

PRADAN

The Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN), with head office at New Delhi, is a non-profit society engaged in impacting livelihoods of rural poor in Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. PRADAN's staff works in decentralised teams to promote natural resources and village enterprises based livelihoods

SADGURU

The Navinchandra Mafatlal Sadguru Water and Development Foundation has been working in the field of land and water resources in the tribal regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for more than 25 years.
