 | | At the turn of each year all of us would just crave to have some snow outside our homes and offices to match the festivity of the X'mas and New Year season. It is actually the snow that makes that season really special. So the good news this morning for all of us here in Tashkent that there is a bit of snowing outside which makes us hope for a really snowy New Year night this year. With this, IWMI-Central Asia wishes all our collegues from all other IWMI offices and CGIAR centers throughout the world and their families a really merry Christmas and happy New Year. As for our IWMI-Central Asia office, we started our season festivities yesterday by having our corporate New Year party at a cosy place called 'East and West'. Attended by all our staff with their families, there were traditional toasts and good wishes for the New Year, as well as some fun nominations and awards for staff excelled in some way or other. All these were succesfully sealed by a selection of drinks and food served throughout the party and accompanied by a dance program allowing the fullest possible expression of all our thoughts and wishes that otherwise could have heen left untapped. So again, here is to merry Christmas and happy New Year to all of you! |
