The Asian Development Bank is funding research by three international agricultural research centers, including the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA), and International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA).

The project is implemented in the territory of 3 Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - with the national partners being as follows:

Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and its Water Resources Management Institute,
Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan and its Land Management and Resources Departament,

Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan and its National Agricultural Research Center.
