Mahesh Jampani holds a Master’s degree in Hydrology, from Andhra University, India. Currently he is a Scientific Officer attached to the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), at its Hyderabad office, India, working on an EU project entitled, Enhancement of natural water systems and treatment methods for safe and sustainable water supply in India”. Prior to joining IWMI, he was attached to the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad, India, as Research Fellow, for period of four years. During his tenure at NGRI, he participated in several surface, subsurface and groundwater investigations in different geological terrains in India (Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Orissa). He also has research experience on a range of topics including Environmental Impact Assessments on water resources and modeling, the fate and transport of contaminants using numerical and statistical approaches. He has been a resource person for several workshops, national and international conferences and training programs and have over nine peer-reviewed journal articles, and around twenty five conference abstracts, proceedings, book chapters and
