Dr. Alemseged Tamiru Haile is a Researcher at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), East Africa Office at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He completed his Ph.D. study in 2010 from the University of Twente, faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), Enschede, The Netherlands with a specialty in Spatial Hydrology and Geo-information Science and Earth Observation. Dr. Alemseged also has a B.Sc. degree in Irrigation Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Watershed Management. He has an undergraduate and graduate teaching experience in the areas of irrigation and hydrology. His research focuses on hydrological modeling, impact assessment of climate change on water resources systems and investigating the potential applications of satellite remote sensing in hydrology. He published more than 10 papers in peer-reviewed ISI journals, 3 book chapters and many conference papers.
