Relief effort in Kalametiya
> Project activities

In the aftermath of the Tsunami, a relief effort was begun in Kalametiya (mainly through the effort of interested individuals and organizations), with dry rations and basic medical supplies being provided to those who have lost their livelihoods as well as temporary shelter being provided in the local temples and schools to those who have been displaced. While this meets the community’s immediate needs, it remains critical to also assist these people on a more long-term basis
