The research question

How can irrigation management institutions in Asia and Africa better include women and the poor?

Objectives

  • To identify patterns and generic policy recommendations on better including women in irrigation management.
  • To examine the links between irrigation and poverty reduction, for pro-poor policy recommendations.

Method

Quantitative and qualitative comparative field research and literature review, national (Nepal, Sri Lanka) and international (India) workshops, policy dialogue.
