The research question
How can irrigation management institutions in Asia and Africa better include women and the poor?

Objectives
To identify patterns and generic policy recommendations on better including women in irrigation management. To examine the links between irrigation and poverty reduction, for pro-poor policy recommendations.

Method
Quantitative and qualitative comparative field research and literature review, national (Nepal, Sri Lanka) and international (India) workshops, policy dialogue.
