IWMI's history in Pakistan
IWMI has a resident mission in Pakistan with an office located in Lahore. IWMI has had an active program in Pakistan for over 20 years which has focused extensively on the Indus Basin. IWMI has been a pioneer in institutional reforms in the irrigation sector. IWMI’s research over the years has been multidisciplinary in its approach using models combining surfacewater and groundwater, geographic information systems(GIS) and remote sensing information, and economic and institutional analyses to look at a whole range of challenges and issues in the irrigation sector. |
