He has an experience of working in the government for 14 years especially in the area of Rural Development and Decentralisation for local level institution building, participatory development with focus on use of local knowledge, capacity building and strengthening of NGOs/CBOs/Users group, programme design and planning, participatory monitoring and evaluation, training, coordination and establishing linkages between development stakeholders. He has been engaged in the design of development programmes which focused on the alleviating poverty in the rural areas. He has also been engaged in the formulating policy for natural resources development along with the design and implementation of Irrigation programmes. He has done various studies that focused on natural resource management in rural areas besides being involved in the training programme. He has consulted to GTZ/Nepal, SNV-Nepal, Asian Development Bank, CIDA and other local NGOs. He has been involved in various studies addressing the issues related to water right and institutions and integrated water resource management He has participated in various national and international seminars and has presented papers on water related issues.
Presently he is working as Research Associate in IWMI/Nepal office.
