While serving as a professor at several universities from 1986 through 2009, Dennis studied
the economics and policy aspects of water
resources within the United States and in several
developing countries. His specialties include agricultural, natural resource, and environmental
economics, the economics of irrigation and drainage, salinity and waterlogging, water pricing and
allocation, economic incentives, nonpoint
source pollution, and issues pertaining to food security,
livelihoods, and poverty. Dennis currently works on IWMI research projects in South
and Southeast Asia,
Central Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa, while contributing also to the development of several topics
within IWMI's Water
and Society Theme. |
